A commitment to excellence.

Each member of LeagueAires commits to attending rehearsals and performances with consistency so that we bring our best to every group we have the privilege of sharing music with. Members are expected to be able to perform the music and choreography with confidence. This may mean committing additional personal time to practicing and reviewing the content, so as to remain sharp for each performance.

Time Commitment

September through Mid-January:
LeagueAires rehearsals are held Mondays, 9:30AM-12:00PM, from September through mid-January at Colonial Church in Edina.

Mid-January into May:
LeagueAires perform on Mondays, mid-January through April, with one performance at 10:30 AM and one at 1:30 PM, at locations throughout the Twin Cities. A half-day commitment is also available. In addition, LeagueAires annually sing at a Junior League of Minneapolis evening meeting—usually in March or April—and at our Community Concert on the last Tuesday evening in April.

Attendance Requirements
  • Members are allowed up to four rehearsal absences.
  • Members are allowed up to four performance absences.

LeagueAires leadership will work with any member who faces extenuating circumstances that result in missing more than the permitted number of absences so that she can remain a viable member of the group.

Members are asked to pay a $50 social fee each year, called Sunshine Fees.

Additional Roles

During performances, there are additional opportunities for members to share their speaking, dancing, or other special talents.

In addition to singing, members are also encouraged to serve every few years in a support role (such as stage managing, attendance taking, costume carrying, etc.) or a committee assignment.
